The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Drillisch AG: 607,000 mobile telephone customers (+20.7%), amounts owed to banks down to 8.4 million Euro (-53%) During 2001, the Drillisch Group expanded its subscriber base to approximately 607,000, an increase of 20.7%. Drillisch thus grew faster than the market as a whole. Compared with the previous year, sales revenues in the core business segment, Mobile Telecommunications, remained virtually unchanged at 172.9 million Euro. Total sales fell from 187.9 million Euro in 2000 to 173 million Euro in 2001 due to the sale of subsidiaries (fixed networks and IT). The target sales figure of 165 million Euro quoted in the third quarter of 2001 was thus exceeded by a significant margin. EBITDA fell from 11.9 million Euro to minus4.3 million Euro. The net loss of 13.9 million Euro reflects one-off expenses in the amount of around 14.5 million Euro and one-off income in the amount of 1.5 million Euro in 2001. A major component here was the extraordinary amortization of goodwill in the subsidiary company Alphatel Kommunikationstechnik GmbH in the amount of 9.8 million Euro. Net borrowing fell by 9.4 million Euro to 8.4 million Euro as at 31.12.2001 (- 53%). The reduction in amounts owed to banks was made possible by an increase in cash flow from ordinary business activities to 8.2 million Euro in 2001 from 0.6 million Euro in 2000. The restructuring measures within the Group are taking effect and it will be possible to achieve the target for 2002 of achieving an overall positive result for the year as a whole.
