The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Ad Hoc Announcement IAW § 15, WpHG Figures for the 2004 Year Drillisch AG: 2004 Group Net Earnings Quadrupled to 10.6 Million Euros Maintal, 23 March 2005 – The mobile communications service provider Drillisch AG (ISIN DE 0005545503) more than quadrupled its consolidated net earnings to 10.577 million euros in fiscal year 2004. The Drillisch AG Supervisory Board finalized the annual accounts of Drillisch AG and approved the consolidated financial statements at 10:45 a.m. during today’s meeting. Group sales in fiscal year 2004 increased 126 percent to 350.4 million euros primarily as a result of having acquired VICTORVOX AG. Earnings before income taxes improved 115 percent to 16.6 million euros, while annual net earnings soared 308 percent to 10.6 million euros. Outlook: The Executive Board is confident that it will again profitably grow the company in 2005. As of today, the Executive Board has set itself the goal of increasing the number of mobile-communications customers by 4.5 percent to 1.7 million subscribers. It is because leadership has its focus on profitable growth that the Executive Board expects this current year to surpass 2004’s group earnings per share of 31 euro cents. Drillisch AG’s management and administration want to share this excellent earnings performance with the shareholders.
