Drillisch AG: Preliminary consolidated EBITDA 2008 40.6m Euro (2007:
39.8m Euro); Number of Subscribers 2.371m (2007: 2.201m)
Maintal, 2 March 2009 - The mobile-communications service provider
Drillisch (ISIN DE 0005545503) generated a consolidated EBITDA of 40.6
million Euro in 2008 (2007: 39.8m Euro). With 2.371 million subscribers
(prev. year 2,201 million) Drillisch recorded sales of 350.1 million Euro
compared to 361.5 million in 2007, representing a decrease of 3.1%. This
decrease was in-line with the prevailing market trend. The ratio of
prepaid- to postpaid subscribers was app. 64% : 36% in 2008, as compared to
62% : 38% in 2007
In the fourth quarter 2008, Drillisch realised cash neutral writedowns on
the stake in freenet AG of 51.3 million Euro. In 2008 these writedowns
amounted to a total of 202.4 million Euro. Adjusted for these writedowns,
EBT reached 30.0 million Euro in 2008 compared to 27.7 million Euro in
2007, representing an increase of 8.3%.
Upon approval of the final annual financial statements by the Supervisory
Board, a press and analyst conference will be held on 26 March 2009 during
which the annual financial statements will be presented in more detail.
