Airspan trading update:  WiMAX momentum continues on lower than expected revenues in Q2

BOCA RATON, Fla. – July 3, 2007 - Airspan Networks Inc. (Nasdaq: AIRN), a leading provider of WiMAX and Wi-Fi based broadband wireless access networks, today announced that while its WiMAX momentum continued, a preliminary review of second quarter 2007 revenues, show lower than anticipated revenues and are now estimated to be approximately $22.5 million. These results are preliminary and are subject to review prior to releasing earnings.

WiMAX shipments in the quarter were approximately $16.5 million, however some of these shipments may be subject to deferred revenue recognition. In addition, approximately $2 million of WiMAX MacroMAX shipments were delayed due to late receipt of an individual component, which has now been resolved.

The decrease in total revenue is primarily due to the more rapid-than-expected drop in orders of traditional products. The reduction in demand for non-WiMAX equipment, which was communicated several months ago, has resulted in a significant slowdown in overall sales for Airspan.

Further details regarding second quarter 2007 results are expected to be announced on August 8, 2007.  Details of conference call dial in numbers will be distributed prior to this date.
