                Bunge Announces Pricing of Senior Notes Offering


WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., May 15, 2003 -- Bunge Limited (NYSE: BG) announced today
that it has priced an offering pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S of the
Securities Act of 1933, as amended, of $300 million aggregate principal amount
of 5.875% senior notes due 2013. The senior notes were issued by Bunge's wholly
owned subsidiary, Bunge Limited Finance Corp., and guaranteed by Bunge.

Bunge intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to reduce indebtedness
under its commercial paper program and its revolving credit facility.

This press release does not constitute an offer to sell or the solicitation of
an offer to buy any securities. The senior notes have not been registered under
the Securities Act and may not be offered or sold in the United States absent
registration or an applicable exemption from registration requirements.
