Deutsche Börse: Results of business year 2002 materially above guidance
Deutsche Börse Group today announced that it would significantly exceed its
expectations for Earnings before Interest and Taxes (EBIT) for the year ended 31
December 2002: the target of EUR 320 million would be exceeded by approximately
10% giving an expected result of EUR 350-355 million after goodwill and
exceptional charges. The higher profit stems from the positive development in
trading activity in the fourth quarter of 2002, which has remained strong in
January 2003. Deutsche Börse will publish its preliminary results on February
18.
