The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Deutsche Börse: Q2/H1 interim results Sales in Q2 increase by 71 percent versus previous year’s Q2, EBIT up 44 percent / Sales increase by 71 in H1 and EBIT by 44 percent Deutsche Börse AG significantly increased sales and EBIT in second quarter and the first half year of the current business year 2003. Sales, which in contrast to last year’s numbers now include fully consolidated results of the Clearstream, increased by 71 percent versus previous year’s Q2 to Euro 351.9 mn (Q2 2002: Euro 205.3 mn). Without the effect of the Clearstream acquisition, sales increased by 8% versus Q2 2002. Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) increased by 44 percent to Euro 115.3 mn (Q2 2002: Euro 80.0 mn) versus Q2 2002. For the first half year 2003, sales increased by 71 percent to Euro 702.4 mn (Q2 2002: Euro 410.2 mn) versus previous year’s period, EBIT was up 44 percent at Euro 241.4 mn (Q2 2002: Euro 167.4 mn). Earnings before interest, taxes and goodwill amortization (EBITA) are at Euro 131.3 mn (Q2 2002: Euro 81.2 mn), plus 62 percent against previous year’s period.
