Deutsche Börse with EBIT of 109.8 Mio Euro
Deutsche Börse AG has increased its earnings before interest and tax (EBIT)
year-on-year in the third quarter to EUR109.8 million (Q3/2003: EUR109.1
million). Sales revenue totalled EUR347.1 million (Q3/2003: EUR362.9 million)
and the company generated a further EUR15.9 million from net interest income
from the banking business in the third quarter. Looking at the year as a
whole, the company’s sales revenue of EUR1,085.2 billion during the first nine
months is up around 2 percent year-on-year (Q1 to Q3/2003: EUR1,065.3
billion). Earnings per share rose by 22 percent in the third quarter to
EUR0.60 (Q3/2003: EUR0.49).
On the basis of current business data, Deutsche Börse is confident to reach
the forecasted EBIT of at least EUR450 million for the full year. For the
business year 2005, Deutsche Börse expects an EBITA of around EUR600 million
based on the current market situation. This forecast is supposed to be
adjusted in the course of Q1 based on market conditions.
