Non-Executive Director Appointment

The Board of Newbury Racecourse PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Sofia Watson as a non-executive director with immediate effect.

Sofia is the daughter of the Erik Penser who, through his holdings in Compton Beauchamp Estates Ltd, is the Company's largest shareholder. Since 1999 Sofia has worked for Christies, the auction house, and has a keen interest in racing and regularly attends the racecourse. Sofia studied at University of Lund, Sweden where she read History of Art. Sofia will assist Erik and his family in representing their interests in the Company.
