Top Blokes team wins Gamers Without Borders charity event
Semper Fortis Esports PLC (AQSE: SEMP), the esports company focused on establishing esports teams, forming brand and technology partnerships, and providing business to business advisory services, is pleased to report that its Top Blokes team have come in 1st place in the European bracket of the Gamers Without Borders Event, over the last weekend.
Gamers Without Borders is an invitational charity tournament for the best gamers globally competing in community tournaments across a number of titles and a $10 million prize-fund going directly to COVID-19 vaccine distribution for those most in need.
The initiative united gamers behind one cause and raised awareness on the importance of staying safe and the vaccination programme during the pandemic. The second edition of Gamers Without Borders ran with a global mission, No One Left Behind, uniting gaming communities around the world and raising awareness for the on-going fight against COVID19 and the rollout of vaccines.
Top Blokes concluded their winning run with a 4-2 win over Team Singularity and will be donating their allocated prize money of $200,000 to UNICEF which is leading the largest vaccine procurement and supply operation ever undertaken.
