IMPACT OF THE 2017 NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WILDFIRES In 2020 we recognized an operating gain of $32 million in other operating expense (income), net, as a result of a final insurance settlement of $37 million for replacement of capital and recovery of expenses associated with the 2017 northern California wildfires. In 2019 and 2018, we recognized operating expenses of $3 million and $7 million, respectively, net of expected insurance recoveries, and received insurance proceeds of $22 million and $68 million, respectively.
