Februar 2000 Deutsche Telekom verkauft Mehrheit des Kabelnetzes in Nordrhein-Westfalen Die Deutsche Telekom AG hat heute den ersten Vertrag zum Teilverkauf Ihrer Kabelnetze unterschrieben. Neuer Mehrheitseigentümer für die Regionalgesellschaft Nordrhein-Westfalen mit 4,2 Millionen angeschlossenen Haushalten ist Callahan Associates International LLC, eine weltweit tätige Entwicklungs- und Betreibergesellschaft im Telekommunikationsbereich mit Sitz in Denver und London. Das Unternehmen erwirbt 55 Prozent des Kabelnetzes, 45 Prozent verbleiben bei der Deutschen Telekom. Der wirtschaftliche Übergang erfolgt zum 1. Juli 2000, vorbehaltlich der Zustimmung der Kartellbehörden.
