The original plan was for trading in T-Mobile shares to start in autumn 2000. A final decision on the offering has not yet been taken. The planned acquisition of the American mobile communications company VoiceStream, announced on July 24, considerably makes the task of preparing the necessary listing prospectuses considerably more complex. Furthermore, potential investors are also setting more stringent requirements regarding the presentation of the future orientation of Deutsche Telekom’s mobile communications business and, more particularly, of T-Mobile International AG. Deutsche Telekom has taken this decision in response to these justified interests. Along with meeting all listing requirements in full, providing full and complete information for investors has always been Deutsche Telekom’s top priority.
