Deutsche Wohnen: Shares convertion – number of bearer shares again increased

Between 2nd and 12th October 2006 shareholders owning registered shares decided to convert totally approx. 200,000 shares into economically equal bearer shares. 95.2 percent of all 20 million current shares of Deutsche Wohnen AG are bearer shares right now. The convertion process will be continued, the next opportunity for shares convertion is given in the middle of December 2006 (as at 14 December 2006). Deutsche Wohnen AG recommends the convertion, this particularly due to liquidity aspects. The liquidity of the bearer shares of Deutsche Wohnen AG is obviously higher than the liquidity of the remaining registered shares. In addition since 18 September 2006 the bearer shares are listed in the SDAX and, due to this, have a higher notice at the capital market than the registered shares.
