On 13th January 2005, DEUTZ and Wärtsilä signed an agreement for the transfer of the marine service business, which included the move to Wärtsilä of the staff working in this area, and the transfer of customer information, know- how, use of brands, use of intellectual properties and spare parts stock. In the 2005 financial year, after deducting the expenses incurred in connection with the transaction, the sale results in an extraordinary income of more than EUR 60 million.
