BOV improves results in Q3 by EURO 0.5 million
Stable trend in revenues despite adverse market situation
In the third quarter of 2002, the BOV Group has recorded a total operating
performance of EURO 5.8 million with a cumulative operating performance for the
first nine months of the 2002 financial year of EURO 18.4 million. This means
that the overall performance for the third quarter, still characterised in the
months of July and August by the lower seasonal capacity utilisation, was at the
same level on average as in the two previous quarters. Adjusted to remove the
sales revenues of the BFK/Intermoves Group which is no longer included in the
consolidation as of 30 June 2002, the total operating performance amounted to
EURO 5.4 million in the first quarter (Q1) and EURO 6.1 million in Q2.
As a consequence of this stable trend in sales revenues, the cost adjustments
already attained within the scope of the consolidation process are reflected in
further improvement in the earnings of the BOV Group as expected. The EBITDA
figure increased by EURO 0.5 million to EURO -0.45 million in comparison with
the preceding quarter.
Against the backdrop of a solid volume of orders in hand and by rigorously
pursuing the process of cost adjustment, the BOV Group is still standing by its
forecast of being able to attain break-even in the fourth quarter on the basis
of this EBITDA.
