Die am Neuen Markt notierte Eckert & Ziegler Strahlen- und Medizintechnik AG (WKN 565970) übernimmt über ihre Berliner Tochterfirma jojumarie Intelligente Instrumente GmbH für knapp eine Million Euro die SurgiScope- Medizinrobotersparte der amerikanischen Medtronic Surgical Navigation Technologies Inc. (Colorado, USA) und damit die Rechte an einem der weltweit ersten und meistinstallierten medizinischen Deckenroboter. Die Vereinbarung sieht zudem eine enge Zusammenarbeit zwischen beiden Firmen bei der Wartung, der Entwicklung und dem Vertrieb von Roboterprodukten und Service vor. Mit dem Anlagevermögen der SurgiScope-Sparte wird auch eine Gruppe von Mitarbeitern im französischen Grenoble zur jojumarie GmbH wechseln. “Der Erwerb der SurgiScope-Medizinrobotersparte verschafft jojumarie nicht nur ein Team aus erfahrenen Wartungs- und Entwicklungsingenieuren, sondern auch Servicekontakte zu den renommiertesten Kliniken in Europa, Asien und Amerika”, erklärte der Gründer und geschäftsführende Gesellschafter der jojumarie, Prof. Dr. Tim Lueth. “Wir erhalten somit eine erstklassige Produkt- und Infrastrukturplattform für die Markteinführung weiterer Produkte. Zu ihnen sollen unter anderem der weltweit erste, an der Charite entwickelte Roboteraufsatz für das freihändige Operieren und ein navigiertes Gerät zur präzisen Positionierung von miniaturisierten radioaktiven Krebsstrahlern gehören”. Die jojumarie GmbH hat für die geplante Entwicklung und Produktion dieser Produkte erst kürzlich einen neuen Produktionsstandort in Berlin-Wedding eröffnet. Die jojumarie Intelligente Instrumente wurde 1999 als Joint- Venture zwischen der Eckert & Ziegler AG und den Professoren Tim Lueth und Jürgen Bier unter anderem zum Bau von intelligenten Positioniereinrichtungen für die Strahlentherapie gegründet. Die Eckert & Ziegler AG hält gegenwärtig 80% der Gesellschaftsanteile, wird mit der Expansion der Firma und dem Erreichen verschiedener Meilensteine die Quote allerdings zu Gunsten der Joint-Venture Partner verringern. Der Umsatz der Eckert & Ziegler AG wird durch die Transaktion der jojumarie GmbH in diesem Jahr um etwa 1,2 Mio Euro steigen, der Ertrag um etwa 0,4 Mio Euro. The agreement between both companies also covers a cooperation in the servicing, development, and sale of robotic products. The acquisition of the assets will be accompanied by the transfer of a service and development group located in Grenoble, France. “The acquisition of the SurgiScope product line brings an experienced service and development team to jojumarie and service contacts to some of the most respected clinics in Europe, Asia, and the United States”, explained Prof. Dr. Tim Lueth, founder and general manager of jojumarie GmbH. “The transaction will therefore provide us with a first class infrastructure platform for further product launches. Among the new products will be a SurgiScope attachment suitable of performing various surgical operations and a positioning system for brachytherapy applications. Eckert & Ziegler AG currently holds 80% of the company stock, but will reduce its quota in favour of its partner with the expansion of the company. The acquisition of the SurgiScope medical robot product line is expected to result in 2000 in additional Eckert & Ziegler revenues of approximately 1.2 million Euro and an earning contribution of about 0.4 million Euro.
