Die Eckert und Ziegler Strahlen- und Medizintechnik AG, Berlin, hat über ihre Tochter jojumarie Intelligente Instrumente GmbH den ersten medizinischen Deckenroboter zur Behandlung von Gehirntumoren ausgeliefert. Das Gerät wurde am Mittwoch im Pariser Hopital Necker – Enfants Malades installiert und wird voraussichtlich im November in Betrieb genommen. Bei dem rund 1,5 Mio. DM teuren Roboter handelt es sich um ein Produkt aus der SurgiScope-Produktfamilie, die die jojumarie GmbH im September von der amerikanischen Medtronic Surgical Navigation Technologies Inc. erworben hatte. Mit der Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes sind nun weltweit 36 Robotereinheiten in führenden neurochirurgischen Kliniken in Europa, Asien und Amerika installiert “Die Installation bestätigt das ungebrochene Interesse von Neurochirurgen an innovativen Lösungen zur Tumorbehandlung. The machine was installed in the children’s Hopital Necker in Paris on Wednesday and will probably go into operation in November. The robot costs approximately DM 1.5 million and is a product from the SurgiScope business unit, which jojumarie GmbH acquired in September from the American company Medtronic Surgical Navigation Technologies Inc.
