Die Eckert & Ziegler Strahlen- und Medizintechnik AG, ein Spezialist für miniaturisierte, radioaktive Herz- und Krebsheilmittel, hat auch im dritten Quartal 2000 seinen Expansionskurs fortsetzen können. Gegenüber dem Vergleichszeitraum des Vorjahres stieg der kumulierte Umsatz der ersten drei Quartale um 124% auf 15,9 Mio EUR (7,1 Mio EUR). Das Ergebnis der gewöhnlichen Geschäftstätigkeit erhöhte sich um 287% auf 2,1 Mio EUR (0,6 Mio EUR). Der Cash Flow nahm im Berichtszeitraum um 153% auf 4,6 Mio EUR zu (1,8 Mio EUR). Getragen wurde das Umsatzwachstum erfreulicherweise von allen Segmenten, wobei Produkte zur Behandlung von Prostatakrebs im Vorjahresvergleich mit einem Zuwachs von 400% herausragten. Die anderen Produktbereiche, Kardiologie, Medical Reference Sources und Science & Industry konnten ihren Umsatz jeweils verdoppeln. Das 3.Quartal 2000 ist nach dem Börsengang das 6. Quartal in Folge, in dem sich der Umsatz gegenüber dem Vorjahreszeitraum mindestens verdoppelte. Die Geschäfsleitung rechnet für das laufende Geschäftsjahr damit, das zur Kapitalerhöhung angekündigte Umsatzvolumen von 19,1 Mio EUR deutlich zu überschreiten und ein Nachsteuerergebnis von 2,1 Mio EUR zu erreichen. Zu diesem Ergebnis wird neben den operativen Erträgen auch die Meilensteinabrechnung aus der Inbetriebnahme einer neuen Fertigungslinie für Prostatakrebsprodukte beitragen. Eckert & Ziegler AG, a specialist for the provision of miniaturized, low-level radiation sources for the treatment of cancer and cardiovascular diseases continued its expansion in the third quarter of 2000. The company increased its revenues by 124% to 15.9 Mio EUR (7.1 Mio EUR) compared with the prior year period. Results from ordinary activities climbed by 287% to 2.1 Mio EUR (0.6 Mio EUR). Cash flow rose by 153% to 4.6 Mio EUR (1.8 Mio EUR). Encouragingly enough, all segments contributed to driving this sales growth with the 400% increase marked up by Oncology standing out by comparison with the previous year. The other product areas, Cardiology, Medical Reference Sources and Science and Industry, were each able to approximately double their sales. The quarter is the sixth consecutive quarter in which revenue have more then doubled in comparison to the previous year. The management team is confident that it will substantially exceed the 2000 revenue target of 19.1 Mio EUR that was announced earlier this year.
