Berlin, February 17, 2004. The long-standing member of the Supervisory Board of
Eckert & Ziegler AG (ISIN DE 0005659700), Prof. Dr. Detlev Ganten, has resigned
his seat on the Supervisory Board of the medical technology company in Buch, due
to his appointment as Chairman of the Executive Board of the Charité University
Medical Department, Berlin. He said that he would have to “concentrate
completely on his new duties”; nonetheless, he would maintain a friendly
relationship with the enterprise. Ganten had been appointed to the control
committee of Eckert & Ziegler AG in 1998 and had accompanied the enterprise on
its rise to a stock exchange listing and on its growth to an international
isotope specialist with a sales volume of 30 million EUR and some 220 employees.
As the statute and Stockholders Meeting stipulation specify, the Berlin
businessman Hans-Jörg Hinke will take over Ganten’s seat on the Supervisory
Board until a new member is chosen.
