Strong Growth in the Therapy Segment Berlin, 09 November 2004. Eckert & Ziegler AG (ISIN DE0005659700), a specialist in medical and industrial radiation technology, posted sales of 8.5 million EUR in the third quarter of 2004, an increase of 42% over the same quarter of last year and a cumulative revenue increase for the first nine months of 34% from 18.9 in the previous year to now 25.3 million EUR. Income from ongoing business activities rose by 27% to 0.5 million EUR compared to the 2004 half year results. Adjusted income after taxes, including the NEMOD deconsolidation, reached 1,7 million EUR for the nine-month period, which corresponds to an EPS of 0,54 EUR. As in previous quarters, growth was primarily driven by the radiation therapy segment, which doubled in revenue.
