Quartal erreicht! Die ELMOS Semiconductor AG hat, wie bereits berichtet wurde, im 3. Quartal erstmals Aufträge für den Mobiltelefonmarkt erhalten. Die ersten Muster hat ELMOS inzwischen bereits erfolgreich beim Kunden vorgestellt und damit den ehrgeizigen Terminplan noch unterboten. Die Umsätze mit diesen Schaltkreisen werden sich ab Mitte 2001 zu den konstant wachsenden Umsätzen aus dem automobilen Kerngeschäft addieren und die Wachstumsdynamik noch verstärken. ELMOS hat auch im 3. Quartal 2000 wieder einen Umsatz von fast 53 Mio. DM erzielt, der Umsatz im Neunmonatszeitraum 2000 beträgt 156 Mio. DM. Die Bruttomarge lag im 3. Quartal wie auch im Neunmonatszeitraum bei 53%. Das Betriebsergebnis betrug im 3. Quartal 2000 15,2 Mio. DM, im Neunmonatszeitraum 44,3 Mio. DM oder 28,4% vom Umsatz. Das Vorsteuerergebnis im Neunmonatszeitraum 2000 liegt mit 45 Mio. DM um 43% höher als in der Vorjahresperiode und übertrifft damit bereits jetzt das gesamte Ergebnis vor Steuern des Jahres 1999. Der Auftragseingang lag mit 45,5 Mio. DM um 7,2% über dem des Vorjahresquartals. Die Umsätze wurden zu fast 60% außerhalb Deutschlands erzielt, was die starke internationale Ausrichtung von ELMOS unterstreicht. Im Zeitraum Jan. bis Sept. 2000 wuchsen die Umsätze im Vergleich zum Vorjahr vor allem in den EU-Ländern und in den USA. As reported recently, ELMOS Semiconductor AG received its first orders for the mobile telephone market in the 3rd quarter. First working samples have already been presented to the customer, even faster than planned in the customer’s ambitious time schedule. These circuits will contribute to sales from the middle of year 2001 on. In addition to the constantly growing sales in the automotive core business, they will enhance the growth dynamics. In the 3rd quarter, ELMOS achieved net sales of nearly DM 53 Mio., resulting in a total turnover of DM 156 Mio. for the 9- months period. For both, the 3rd quarter and the 9-months period, the gross margin came up to 53%. In addition, the operating income reached DM 15.2 Mio. ending up with DM 44.3 Mio. for the 9-months period or 28.4% of the turnover. With DM 45 Mio. for the 9-months period 2000, the income before taxes exceeds the corresponding period of 1999 by 43%. As a result, the EBIT of the 9-months period 2000 exceeds the EBIT of total 1999. During the 3rd quarter, incoming orders amounted to DM 45.5 Mio., this is an increase by 7.2% compared to the same period of the previous year. About 60% of sales were generated outside of Germany, which underlines the internationalisation of ELMOS.
