The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Energiekontor AG: Successful Placement of 270,000 Shares by Means of Authorised Share Capital Bremen, June 11, 2001. Energiekontor AG based in Stuhr/Brinkum near Bremen has successfully placed 270,000 shares. The proceeds from the capital increase after costs, amounting to ca. 18.5 Mio. Euros, thus will be used for the planning of wind power projects which have already been acquired by the company, as well as for the expansion into two new European countries. The transaction took place in the form of a placement with institutional investors in Germany and abroad, lead managed by Societe Generale, Paris. Pre- emptive rights of shareholders were excluded pursuant to Paragraph 186 (3) sent. 4 of the German Joint Stock Company Act. Due to positive demand it was possible to place the new shares close to the stock price. A significant discount was not necessary. The final share price was fixed at 72 Euros. The first day of trading of the new shares will be June 13, 2001. The new shares will be entitled in full to any dividends declared in respect of the financial year beginning January 1, 2001. Due to the capital increase Energiekontor AG will be able to realise additional projects from 2002 on. Regarding turnover the business plan starting with the year 2002 has been raised by 20%. Net earnings are expected to rise by 40% including the new tax legislation in Germany. However, Energiekontor AG’s business plan includes only the company’s onshore-projects.
