According to the preliminary and not yet testified figures for the business year 2001 (01.01. to 31.12.2001) Energiekontor AG achieved sales revenues of EUR 101.273 mil. This is a 43.5 % growth compared to the year 2000. Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) amounted to EUR 9.024 mil. The result of normal business activity was EUR 10.026 mil. Revenues consist of revenues from project planning, erecting and selling wind farms as well as from customer services for the technical supervision and the business management of Energiekontor-projects. Although sales revenues and result are below the current business plan of Energiekontor AG, the figures remain in the upper end of the range which had been published via ad hoc-news by Energiekontor on 21. December 2001. This delay is due to a change in the German legislation for energy plants which came into effect in August 2001. These changes in the German Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) will have a positive effect on future wind farm projects. However, in the transition period the changes led to delays in the finalisation of two wind farms which will now be realised in 2002. The annual report of Energiekontor AG will be published on 27.
