Basis of Presentation	1. Basis of Presentation In October 2021, Oshkosh Corporation and its subsidiaries (the Company) changed its fiscal year from a year beginning on October 1 and ending September 30 to a year beginning on January 1 and ending December 31. As a result of the change in fiscal year end, this document reflects the Company’s Transition Report on Form 10-Q for the period from October 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021. The Company’s next fiscal year will run from January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022 (fiscal 2022). In the opinion of management, the accompanying unaudited Condensed Consolidated Financial Statements contain all adjustments (which include normal recurring adjustments, unless otherwise noted) necessary to present fairly the financial position, results of operations and cash flows for the periods presented. Certain information and footnote disclosures normally included in financial statements prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in the United States (U.S. GAAP) have been condensed or omitted pursuant to the rules and regulations of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. These Condensed Consolidated Financial Statements should be read in conjunction with the audited financial statements and notes thereto included in the Annual Report on Form 10-K of Oshkosh Corporation for the year ended September 30, 2021. Results for the three months ended December 31, 2021 are not necessarily indicative of results for any other interim period or for fiscal 2022. Certain reclassifications have been made to the fiscal 2021 financial statements to conform to the presentation as of and for the three months ended December 31, 2021.
