UNIVERSE INT'L<01046> - Suspension of Trading

At the request of Universe International Holdings Limited (the "Company"), 
trading in its shares has been suspended with effect from 9:30 a.m. 
today (17/11/2003) pending the publication of an announcement regarding 
the placement of existing shares and subscription of new shares of the 
Company under general mandate, which contents may be of price sensitive 
nature.
