The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— 2nd quarter 2005 Sales up by 28 per cent Results increase by 45 per cent 800,000 “glasses for free” insurances 300 more jobs According to provisional figures, in the 2nd quarter of 2005, Fielmann look set to increase their consolidated sales by 28 per cent to EUR 189 million (previous year: EUR 147.6 million). The pre-tax results are likely to be up 45 per cent to more than EUR 24 million (previous year: EUR 16.8 million). These figures are in line with our plan. To date, more than 800,000 “glasses for free” insurances have been concluded. For the year overall, with growth in sales measured in double figures, we are anticipating a clear increase in profits. We are also creating 300 more jobs. The final figures will be released on 25.08.2005. All data complies with IFRS/IAS.
