Uninterrupted strong growth at Silicon Sensor
Consolidated turnover more than doubled
The turnover in the silicon sensor group went up by more than 125% from 3.4 mill
Euro (III / 2000) up to 7.7 mill Euro (III / 2001) and in doing so confirms the
ambitious plans for the financial year 2001.
In the first nine months of 2001 the EBIT after goodwill went up by more then
1.3 Mio. Euro from -1 Mio. Euro (III / 2000) to over 300 KEuro (III / 2001).
The executive board is not expecting the growth of the group to slacken off in
the fourth quarter of 2001. The profit per share in this financial year is still
expected to be 0.15 Euro. Expansion in the American market should be fully
absorbed by 2002 with earnings per share likely increasing to 0.50 Euro.
While the semi-conductor industry has been characterised by the negative news
it has reported over the last few months, the Silicon Sensor group has been able
to further expand its leading position in the development and manufacture of
optical high-end sensors. Silicon Sensor has been able to successfully separate
itself from the semi-conductor industrys global business cycles thanks to the
very broad range of sectors from which the users of high-end sensors come. Nor
do we expect that this will have a negative influence in the Silicon Sensor
groups continued expansion in future.
The complete Business Report will be publicized 2001-11-28.
