Silicon Sensor with positive year-end result, further growth Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Silicon Sensor with positive year-end result, further growth, sales boost of over 80%, Breakeven point passed during financial year Despite a marked deterioration in the macroeconomic environment toward the end of the financial year, the Silicon Sensor Group grew as planned in 2001, and the executive board is glad to report a gratifying increase in business. Sales rose more than 80% on the previous year, from Euro5.7 million to an estimated over Euro10 million, and thus have almost quadrupled since the end of the first financial year following the floating of the company on July 15, 1999. The result confirms that the group has further expanded at a rate considerably above the average for the optoelectronic sensor market. As budgeted, the breakeven point was reached during the period under review, strengthening board expectations that stable and positive development will continue over the next few years. Income per share in 2001 is provisionally estimated to be above the board’s forecast and expected to rise by over 160% in the current business year, to at least 50 cent per share. The certified financial statement will be published on March 27, 2002.
