Silicon Sensor reached positive Earnings
EBITDA 1.758 TEuro, EBIT 658 TEuro
In the business year 2001 the consolidated profit after tax and interest went up
by 1.9 mill Euro from -1.47 mill Euro (2000) to 418 KEuro and the EPS went up
by 1.08 Euro from -0.86 Euro (2000) to 0.22 Euro. The EBITDA went up by 2.6 mill
Euro from -860 KEuro to 1,76 mill Euro. The EBIT went up by 2 mill Euro from –
1.346 KEuro (31.12.2000) to 658 KEuro (31.12.2001).
During the business year, the growth rate of the Silicon Sensor Group has
developed in accordance with schedule. Compared to the same period last year,
sales went up by 100% from 5.35 mill Euro (31.12.2000) up to 10.7 mill Euro
(31.12.2001) and in doing so confirms the ambitious plans for the financial year
2001. This is particularly remarkable since customer relations only develop in
the course of several years of close cooperation in this scope of business. The
backlog of orders in the group at the end of the year 2001 went up by 74% from
6.5 mill Euro to 11.2 mill Euro.
The Managing Board expects resonable growth rates for the group in the first
quarter of 2002. Profit expectations for the first quarter of 2002 are up to 300
KEuro higher then in the first quarter 2001.
