The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Silicon Sensor on solid growth course, triples pre-tax income The Silicon Sensor groups attained a solid growth tempo in the first nine months of the 2004 business year. We are able to report positive business performance. As compared to the same time period in the previous year, turnover rose by 15 % from EUR 9.2 mn to EUR 10.6 mn. Earnings before taxes were improved by 182 % in the past nine months, from a profit of EUR 537,000 (Sept. 30, 2003) to a profit of EUR 1.52 mn (Sept. 30, 2004). EBITDA rose by 45 % from EUR 1.62 mn (Sept. 30, 2003) to EUR 2.35 mn (Sept. 30, 2004). The operating result EBIT increased by 119 % from EUR 745,000 (Sept. 30, 2003) to EUR 1.63 mn (Sept. 30, 2004). Non-current liabilities decreased by 21 % from EUR 3.52 mn (Sept. 30, 2003) to EUR 2.79 mn (Sept. 30, 2004). Net equity rate rose to 60 %. Earnings per share totalled EUR 0.44 during the reporting period, improving by EUR 0.20 as compared to the same time period in the previous year (Sept. 30, 2003: EUR 0.24). The group’s orders on hand at the end of the third quarter 2004 went up by 27 % from EUR 7.1 mn to EUR 9.0 mn. We hope, that we can further increase the orders on hand in the next time. The number of employees worldwide now stands at 101 (III/2003: 104). We increased our sales and profit expectations for the business year 2004 to EUR 14 mn sales and EUR 0.63 Earnings per share.
