Dr. Michael Altwein new Chairmann of the supervisory board

Effective immediately, Dr. Michael Altwein, long-time member of the managing
board and CEO of Hottinger Baldwin Meßtechnik GmbH in Darmstadt/Germany, has
been appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Silicon Sensor
International AG. With a wealth of management experience gained in the
industry, Dr. Altwein has been particularly successful in opening up new
markets in America and Asia.
His deputy, also effective immediately, is Edgar Most, long-time member of the
managing board of Deutsche Bank AG in Berlin.
At the company’s general meeting, the Supervisory Board will propose a
successor to Dr. Marquardt, who left the Board at his own request on Feb. 28,
2005. The candidate will be chosen to reflect the change that has occurred in
shareholder structure.
The Managing Board welcomes the appointments of Dr. Altwein and Herr Most as
contributing to further stable growth for Silicon Sensor International AG, a
leading supplier of high-quality optical sensors and hybrid circuits.
