The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Entry into automotive market, CEO extends contract until 2010 June 20, 2005 Silicon Sensor International AG has negotiated a supply agreement with a leading international maker of automotive components. The deal is seen as the first step in a long-term cooperation project for supplying an innovative sensor system for cars and presently covers a period of three years. Both sides have agreed not to disclose the supply volumes involved. The forthcoming practical introduction of the system comes after more than five years of development and testing which established a close partnership between the component suppler and Silicon Sensor. Once the Automotive division has come onstream, the Managing Board expects major expansion over the coming years. In a parallel development, the Supervisory Board of Silicon Sensor International AG and the CEO, Dr. Bernd Kriegel, have agreed to extend the management contract until 2010. After the extension last year of Dr. Hans- Georg Giering’s contract until 2009, the company can now expect to work with greater consistency in future.
