EBIT once again increased explicitly
August 02, 2007
As expected, the performance of the Silicon Sensor group during the 1st
half year of the 2007 business year set a new standard, with sales rising
more than 22 per cent over the same period last year, to € 19 mn
(6/30/2006: € 15.6 mn). The operating result once again increased
explicitly.
The operating result EBIT grew by € 2.04 mn, or 80 %, from € 2.56 mn
(6/30/2006) to € 4.6 mn (6/30/2007). The result after interest and taxes
was improved from € 1.5 mn (6/30/2006) to € 2.5 mn, an increase of € 1.0
mn. This is 67 per cent more than the earnings at the end of the comparable
business period last year. Due to an increase in the number of shares, the
income per share for the reporting period was € 0.71 Euro, an improvement
of € 0.27 Euro compared with last year (6/30/2006: € 0.44). This gratifying
trend has continued into the present quarter.
Orders on hand have taken a particularly positive development and, for the
group as a whole, rose by 16 % to € 22 mn (6/30/2007) as against last year
(6/30/2005: € 19 mn). Here again, the trend continued into the 2nd half
year.
All figures reflect the current and provisional status of the consolidated
annual financial statements and may be amended on the basis of audit
findings. The complete annual report will be published on August 29, 2007.
