The Supervisory Board of First Sensor AG has appointed Mr. Joachim Wimmers as the new Chief Financial Officer of the Company effective March 1, 2012. He succeeds Dr. Ingo Stein, who notified the Supervisory Board that he would step down from his position for personal reasons effective March 31, 2012. Joachim Wimmers, 47, most recently served as the Managing Director of an internationally active manufacturer of electrotechnical products with annual sales of around EUR100 million and more than 750 employees, and has more than 15 years of professional experience in the financial management of manufacturing companies. He will manage First Sensor AG together with Chief Executive Officer Dr. Hans-Georg Giering. 'Joachim Wimmers is a proven financial expert with particular expertise in the fields of controlling, integration, strategic and corporate development, and lean management. He is an ideal appointment for our Company's current phase and the further development of the First Sensor Group,' commented Götz Gollan, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Company. The Supervisory Board regrets the departure of Dr. Stein and would like to express its gratitude for the excellent cooperation enjoyed with him. He made a key contribution to structuring and financing the Company's strong growth over recent years and to the acquisition of the Sensortechnics Group in 2011.
