FORTEC increases its portfolio – less board members – expectations: pending

FORTEC is leader of industrial hardware solutions as concerns displays,
converter boards and power supplies with an annual turnover of over 30 million
EUR. Now, the company increases its portfolio in the field engineering by
application software and thus, enhances to an alrounder in embedded solutions.
Therefore, the ROTEC technology GmbH is founded as per 1st July 2003, a mainly
independent company of 6 employees. Turnover figures of about 3 million EUR is
planned for the next 3 years.
FORTEC-s sales manager Werner Heyer being with the company for about 20 years
and also member of the board for over 10 years will leave the company as per
30th June due to health-s reasons. His successor not being member of the board
has already been trained by him.
FORTEC-s turnover is stagnating for over 2 years now due to a week industrial
and economical surrounding and even decreased during the last quarters – whereas
profit could be stabilised on high level due to higher added values. Now during
this second half of business year 2003, the company is obliged to adapt its
costs versa its turnover of these next two quarters which is expected to be
decreasing. It is planned to achieve this by merely no dismissals and above all
by short-time work.
