FP Group presents industry solutions at CeBIT 2013

First multi-channel provider for mail communication at Stand D08 in Hall 3

– Suitable solutions for every industry to ensure optimal processes in mail communication

– Physical and fully electronic solutions – from franking systems to De-Mail

Birkenwerder, 13 February 2013. The Francotyp-Postalia Group, the first multi-channel provider for mail communication, will present industry solutions for professional mail communication at CeBIT from 5 to 9 March 2013. Be it a doctor, public sector, solicitor or bank – everyone has to communicate in writing, yet their needs are often very different. Visitors to the FP stand (D08) in Hall 3 will gain a comprehensive insight into the company's various professional mail communication solutions. These range from physical products such as franking and inserting machines to long-term archiving and fully electronic De-Mail solutions.

The German market leader presents innovations and consultancy expertise

With a market share of approximately 42%, Francotyp-Postalia is the market leader in the traditional franking machine business in Germany. Its global market share stands at 10%. Its most recent sales success was PostBase. In the past year, this innovative and award-winning machine was successfully launched in the major markets of Germany and the USA as well as in Austria. This will be followed by further countries such as the UK and Canada in the current year. The machine stands out thanks to its new and innovative operating concept and makes work even more simple and convenient. 'Initial market feedback has already shown that PostBase is becoming a bestseller. This shows that franking machines will remain a central component of our product range even in the digital age,' states Andreas Drechsler, member of the Management Board of the FP Group.

Steeped in history, the company was founded in 1923. It is an expert in mail communication and offers suitable products and services for a range of requirements. FP Management Board member Drechsler explains the company's unique position: 'We consult with each business customer individually and can provide our customers with the precise solutions and products that they need to optimise their processes. In other words, the customer is always the central focus of our attention, not the product. A decisive factor for customers is the fact that FP understands the needs of their industry and can meet these needs.'

FP Group presents De-Mail for public authorities, companies and consumers

In addition to franking machines, the multi-channel provider also offers De-Mail solutions. This allows consumers, companies and public authorities in Germany to send their letters digitally. De-Mail works like an e-mail and is just as safe as a letter. The FP Group can implement a De-Mail gateway for companies and public authorities. The gateway is integrated as a software element in the customer's existing IT infrastructure, and custom adaptations are also possible. The company offers a De-Mail portal for private individuals. Here, the cost of sending a De-Mail starts at EUR 0.33. This makes De-Mail considerably cheaper than sending a traditional standard letter, which now costs EUR 0.58.

A recent survey carried out by forsa on behalf of the FP Group revealed positive findings with regard to people's plans to use De-Mail. 21% of German Internet users intend to definitely or probably use De-Mail in the next twelve months. In total, 501 German Internet users aged 18 or over were surveyed.
