Süddeutsche Krankenversicherung employs De-Mails of Mentana-Claimsoft

Use mainly for customer communication – FP subsidiary implements specific requirements quickly

Birkenwerder, 30 August 2013 – Mentana-Claimsoft GmbH, a subsidiary of listed company Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG (FP), has gained Süddeutsche Krankenversicherung (SDK) as a De-Mail customer. Since May, the company’s employees have received De-Mails via a gateway that Mentana-Claimsoft implemented in the existing e-mail infrastructure of SDK.

Use of De-Mail
SDK wants to use De-Mail with the address sdk@sdk.de-mail.de mainly for its customer communication. However, dialogue with insurance company mhplus – with which SDK cooperates very closely – is also possible. ‘Thanks to De-Mail, we can now also receive sensitive health and insurance data from our customers electronically and in a legally compliant manner,’ explains Dr Ralf Kantak, CEO of SDK. ‘We can now offer quick and secure customer communication at a click of the mouse. Mentana-Claimsoft has quickly implemented and introduced specific requirements from us, for example the adaptation of an Outlook plug-in.’ This plug-in normally needs to be installed at every workplace individually. However, at SDK, the FP subsidiary rolled it out centrally in the company via administration.

Public authorities, companies and private individuals
De-Mail allows legally compliant, secure and confidential digital communication. FP estimates that in the next three to five years, up to 10% of annual, De-Mail-capable letters will be sent by De-Mail.

FP offers companies and authorities the implementation of a De-Mail gateway that is integrated as software in the organisation’s existing IT-infrastructure. For private customers and small companies, there is the web-based De-Mail portal www.fp-demail.de . Customers must register only once via this website and go through an identification procedure. They then receive their own De-Mail address and can send and receive De-Mails straight away.
