Birkenwerder, 18 September 2013 – Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG, a mail communication expert and accredited De-Mail provider, has concluded a partnership agreement with the online platform arztbuchen24.de. With this partnership, the FP Group is expanding an important customer base and working together with the platform to offer a customised sector bundle for the health care industry.

Francotyp-Postalia offers products and services for customers including practice-based doctors, dentists and hospitals. The company assists its customers in processing mail communication – in both physical and fully electronic form. Many doctors still send letters and other written documents to health insurance companies and health care institutions. The use of franking and inserting systems makes processing this mail a great deal easier.

However, fully electronic communication is also gaining ground in the medical industry. The use of encryption technologies is essential here. The more sensitive, personal data is sent online, the higher the demands are on data security: Digital encryption ensures that predefined recipients can read the exchanged data and stops unauthorised persons from gaining access to it. Francotyp-Postalia offers the use of De-Mail in this area. ‘With FP technology, medical data can be sent to other doctors, health insurance companies and other institutions using a secure method that is consistent with data protection legislation,’ says Dominik Hofer, Managing Director of DocMatch GmbH and operator of the online platform for making doctor’s appointments.

The arztbuchen24.de platform gives patients the option to make online appointments at doctor’s practices that are registered on the website. Until the year, approximately 2,000 doctors are supposed to have the opportunity to make appointments online. For their part, all registered doctors can make use of Francotyp-Postalia’s communication services. ‘Our partnership with arztbuchen24.de is consistent with our industry-oriented customer approach. For doctors, it constitutes the ideal combination of patient acquisition and further communication,’ explains Hans Szymanski, Spokesman of the Management Board of Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG.
