----- Today, Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide presents its Group interim report for the first quarter of 2002. In a continuing difficult market environment, Fraport achieved a clear increase in revenues and profits. . ICTS Europe Holdings B.V., the European market leader in aviation security services, was fully consolidated in our figures for the first time. . Fraport achieved a 14.4 percent increase in consolidated revenues to EUR401.7 million, excluding this new consolidation Fraport was able to exceed the prior year's revenues by 4.9 percent. . Despite a decline in passenger traffic, retail revenues at Frankfurt Airport rose by 10.4 percent to EUR15.5 million. . EBITDA increased by 10.4 percent to EUR100.2 million. . Consolidated profit (after tax) for the Group increased by EUR11.3 million (+166.2 percent) over the previous year's figure to EUR18.1 million. . Earnings per share increased to EUR0.20 from EUR0.11 in the first quarter of 2001. Operating cash flow grew by 187.2 percent to EUR35.9 million. . Negotiations in Manila are continuing; Fraport's exposure did not change between March 31, 2002, and May 15, 2002. . The number of Fraport shares increased by 105,058 (for the employee stock participation plan) to a total of 90,211,058 shares. Overall for the year 2002, Fraport expects passenger traffic to decline in the low, single-digit percent range versus 2001. Nevertheless, Fraport expects a clear increase in revenues for 2002, as a result of the first-time full consolidation of ICTS Europe, price increases, and retail. Because of uncertainty in the aviation market, Fraport remains cautious and expects an EBITDA comparable to the previous year's level.
