freenet AG: Annual General Meeting resolves dividend payment amounting to 204.8 million euros for financial year 2016

– Annual General Meeting resolves dividend of 1.60 euros per dividend-bearing share (previous year: 1.55 euros)

– Dividend increased for the eighth year in succession

Büdelsdorf, 1 June 2017 – Following a constructive shareholders’ debate today’s Annual General Meeting of freenet AG [ISIN DE000A0Z2ZZ5], at which about 56 per cent of the share capital respectively 57 per cent including the received postal votes was represented, approved all of the resolutions proposed by the management with the required majorities. Dividend payment amounts to in total 204.8 million euros, corresponding to a dividend of 1.60 euros per dividend-bearing share. Accordingly, freenet AG increases its dividend for the eighth year in succession.

The dividend of 1.60 euros per dividend-bearing share is carried out from the tax deposit account in accordance with § 27 Corporate Income Tax Act. Consequently, the dividend will be paid without deduction of capital gains tax and solidarity surcharge. Payment date is 6 June 2017.
