GEA receives large dairy order in Europe

Düsseldorf, July 29, 2013 – GEA Group already in June received a large order from a leading global dairy company for lines of one of the worldwide biggest lactose plant in Europe. For the segment GEA Process Engineering this order in the area of middle to higher double-digit millions is one of the largest in recent years.

GEA’s scope of supply will cover the complete production process – from reception of whey as the raw material to packing of the lactose powder. All key technologies involved represent GEA core competencies. The process equipment to be delivered by GEA will satisfy the stricter quality requirements of infant formula ingredients. The factory will serve the growing worldwide market demand for lactose products used in infant nutrition and other food products.
