ARQUES Industries AG takes over SKS Stakusit

The sender is solely responsible for the contents of this announcement. —————————————————————————— ARQUES Industries AG takes over SKS Stakusit For a second time ARQUES portfolio is extended by a former Masco subsidiary Starnberg 7 April 2005 – The Starnberg-based holding company ARQUES Industries AG (ISIN DE0005156004) takes over all shares in SKS Stakusit Bautechnik GmbH retroactively to 1 January 2005. This is the second transaction between ARQUES and the Masco corporation (Michigan/USA) within the last few months. SKS Stakusit, founded in 1969 and situated in Duisburg, is one of the leading suppliers of window related technological products. The emphasis of the range is on intelligent roller shutters and insects protection systems. With approximately 200 employees a turnover of around Euro 41 million was reached last year. After the successful structural expansion into eastern Europe, SKS Stakusit is currently represented in over 20 European countries. Manufacturing subsidiaries are located in, Greece, Poland, Romania, Russia, Turkey and the Ukraine. Sales offices exist in numerous other countries. SKS Stakusit was acquired according to the ARQUES philosophy. ARQUES manager Dr. Uwe Dombrowski was appointed managing director and will be supported in operational management by Thomas Althaus, who was already in management before the takeover by ARQUES. Priority lies in optimising the operational business, the modification of the branch strategy as well as sustaining the existing growth strategy.
