Gigaset AG strengthens its Executive Board with Charles Fränkl as CEO
New man at the helm is to continue driving the company's growth

Munich, November 8, 2011 - The Supervisory Board of Gigaset AG today
appointed Charles Fränkl as the new Chief Executive Officer of the leading
European phone manufacturer. The 53-year-old is an experienced and
acknowledged expert in the international telecommunications and information
technology business. Fränkl, who hails from Switzerland, will take over
effective January 1, 2012. He was previously the CEO of the Internet
payment system company ClickandBuy, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG.

As Chief Executive Officer, Fränkl will continue Gigaset AG's expansion
strategy following the company's now completed realignment toward
telecommunications and accessories. 'In Charles Fränkl, Gigaset has gained
an internationally qualified business personality who will further
strengthen Gigaset's image and boost the focused growth strategy of
Europe's market leader in cordless phones,' says Rudi Lamprecht, Chairman
of Gigaset AG's Supervisory Board. 'Together with our excellent Executive
Board team, Charles Fränkl will help accelerate Gigaset's expansion as a
leading-edge communications company thanks to his excellent qualifications,
such as in-depth expertise and many years of management experience in the
ITC industry.'

In his long management career, the graduate in telecommunications
engineering has held leading posts at various companies in the industry,
for example as CEO at AOL and Vodafone Information Systems.
