Gigaset and Teldat (formerly FEC) to cooperate in end-user device business
Munich, March 14, 2012 - Gigaset Communications GmbH, responsible for
Gigaset Group's business line Gigaset pro, and Teldat GmbH, Nuremberg, have
agreed to launch joint activities in end-user device business with IP based
phones. Starting in the summer of 2012, Teldat GmbH will integrate end-user
devices produced by Gigaset Communications GmbH in its elmeg product line,
thus supplementing its IP device line. The devices, which will be produced
under the names elmeg IP120, elmeg IP130 and elmeg IP140, are particularly
well suited for use with elmeg hybird telephone systems.
Hans-Peter Mistele, CSO at Teldat GmbH, commented: 'The new IP system
phones have an outstanding design, offer good usability and are the ideal
complement to our portfolio. Their functions have been tailored to the
features of the new elmeg hybird 120/130 communications systems and the
modular hybird 300 and 600 telephone systems, which address the needs of
small and medium-sized enterprises.' Maik Brockmann, Chief Sales Officer at
Gigaset, emphasized: 'We're very happy about our future collaboration.
Working together with Teldat GmbH and as an OEM supplier for end-user
devices will generate synergy effects in cultivating the SME market since
Teldat can offer Gigaset brand products that are tailored to its customer
base and product portfolio.'
Gigaset pro is Gigaset's professional product line for small and
medium-sized enterprises (SME). So far, this product line was distributed
exclusively via selected value added resellers and distributors in Germany,
Austria, France, the Netherlands, Italy and Great Britain. Through the
cooperation with Teldat Gigaset has won a new distribution partner with
excellent market access in many European countries.
