Greifswald, 17 April 2008 - Today Udo Potthast will be taking over his
position as the new member of the Management Board at HanseYachts AG in
Greifswald. He will be responsible for Accounting, Finance, Purchasing and
Corporate Controlling. Han-seYachts, one of the fastest growing yacht
shipyards in Europe, will have a threemember Management Board when Udo
Potthast assumes his office. Michael Schmidt, founder and CEO of
HanseYachts AG, will head Strategic Development, Sales and Marketing, while
Gregor Bredenbeck will be in charge of Production.
Udo Potthast knows HaseYachts well from his comprehensive consulting
activities in conjunction with preparing and implementing the IPO. He has
also contributed significantly to integrating the new brands and to
realising additional acquisition projects. Potthast formerly served as
managing partner at a prominent Hamburg auditing firm and both as an
auditor as well as a tax consultant.
Potthast was born in 1965; he studied Business Administration in Göttingen.
He is married and has had a passion for sailing since his early teens. He
has extensive experience in restoring and building sailing yachts.

marvellous team. For me this is a dream job, as my passion is not only for
business administration, but also for sailing,' said Potthast.
