RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 13^th August 2014 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 24,119 Ordinary Shares at prices of €11.18 and €12.82 per Ordinary Share and at prices between £11.19 and £11.55 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 4,010,603 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 739,302,633.
