Mai 2000 Die telegate AG hat den bereits im April 2000 angekündigten Kaufvertrag für die Übernahme von CFW Information Ser- vices, Inc., einem hundertprozentigen Tochterunternehmen der CFW Communications Company, unterzeichnet. Damit hat der Münchener Service-Dienstleister seine Geschäftstätigkeiten in den USA aufgenom- men. Die telegate AG hat das US-Unternehmen für rund 35,5 Millionen US-Dollar akquiriert. CFW Information Services Inc, mit Sitz in Virginia, beschäftigt 300 Mitar- beiter an drei Standorten und ist bei einem Umsatz von 16 Millionen US- Dollar in 1999 profitabel. Das Unternehmen erbringt im Wege des Out- sourcing die Auskunftsdienste amerikanischer Telefongesellschaften und konnte 1999 46 Millionen bearbeitete Anrufe verzeichnen. Der weltweit größte Telekommunikationskonzern AT&T zählt zu den Kunden von CFW. Die Akquisition ermöglicht telegate den sofortigen Einstieg in einen Ge- schäftsbereich, in dem der deutsche Anbieter seine Kompetenz nun auch in den USA voll ausspielen kann. Das Know-how von CFW optimiert den Service von Beginn an. Parallel baut das Münchener Unternehmen eige- ne Call Center in Utah und Kalifornien auf.
