telegate AG changes to COLT-network
More than 1.5 million Euro saving per year
Munich, January 30, 2002, These days, the 11880-directory equiry service
provider telegate switches its telephone network system over to the glass fibre
network of COLT Telecom. Not only the national directory enquiry service but
also the international call completion is transferred via the new partners
systems. Biggest advantage: telegate AG, listed on the “Neuer Markt” in
Frankfurt saves more than 1.5 million Euro network costs per year.
On average, telegate operates 400.000 calls every day. More than 50 per cent of
the calls are handled already via the COLT-system, the remaining will follow in
the coming weeks. The benefit for the consumer: COLTs fail-safe Protected Mode-
technology provides always a reserve line, which bypasses any interruption
within the network. The sound quality is even higher than before.
“For a long time we searched for a suitable partner. Now we found COLT” says
Olaf Geppert, responsible for the whole German-speaking directory enquiry
business of telegate-group. “Our service-quality is now higher and at the same
time, we do save a lot of money.”
