The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– telegate AG in the black: Operating profit in third quarter 2002 positive again Munich, 24 October 2002 – The operating profit (EBIT) of Munich-based telegate AG turned again positive in the third quarter 2002: 0.7 million Euro. In the same period of last year the EBIT amounted to minus 6.4 million Euro. The turnover of 27.5 million Euro corresponds to last year’s result and adds up to a nine months-turnover of 81.4 million Euro (Jan. until Sept. 2001: 85 million Euro). The result before taxes, interest and depreciation (EBITDA) could again be increased: After 1.1 million Euro in the first quarter and 4.5 million Euro in the second quarter the EBITDA now comes to 4.8 million Euro (third quarter 2001: – 2.7 million Euro). This amount does not include one time-costs of 1.9 million Euro for restructuring and merging three German call centers. In the first nine months of this business year, the German DA-core business generated a turnover of 76.7 million Euro (first nine months last year: 82.1 million Euro). In Italy, the telegate-subsidiary achieved a respectable turnover of 4.7 million Euro (Jan. to Sept. 2001: 1.9 million Euro). The cash flow of the whole telegate-group returned also positive: It amounts to 4,2 million Euro (2nd quarter 2002: – 2.7 million Euro). The successful DA-provider will stick to its belt-tightening also in the next coming months. The planned capital increase is going to further improve the company’s equity ratio.
